Whether or not you believe in love at first sight, that’s exactly what happened to me when I first saw this palette on a makeup tutorial by Pixiwoo. The rich satin colors spoke to me. I thought it was the perfect plum palette for a glam night out look. So when I was deciding on what to include in my giveaway, this was on top of my list. I wanted to have it for myself and I also wanted you guys to have it. 
When I finally got it, I realized that it was actually also the perfect day to night makeup palette. The colors are so versatile that it’s soft enough for a day time look but can also be transformed into a night time look when you go for a more intense look.
I’m loving the names of the colors in the quad too. The white is called Island Breeze, the gray is Gray Illusion, the champagne is called Nude and Infused, while the purple is called Perplexted Purple.
To give you a better idea of the colors, I did two kinds of swatches for you guys:
Though the colors are not as pigmented as say my Sleek palettes, the pay off is still pretty good. You can just build the colors if you want a more intense look. You can also see here that Perplexted Purple and Nude and Infused have a more satiny finish than both Island Breeze and Gray Illusion. However, the latter colors still have a very subtle shimmer in them.
Here’s a look I did mainly utilizing the Smoke and Mirrors Palette:
I used Avon’s Glimmerstick in Golden Fawn at the inner corner of my eyes to make it look more awake. What do you guys think?
